Old Captiva House

We had such an excellent dinner experience at Old Captiva House celebrating a birthday. We made reservations in advance and were able to be seated immediately. Our waitress, Shelby, came over and introduced herself and took our drink orders. She was friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout our dinner experience. Our drinks were excellent and made well. For appetizers, we ordered the escargot and jumbo shrimp and lump crab cocktail. The escargot sauce was amazing and the crab and shrimp were large chunks of fresh meat. For dinner, we ordered the special ribeye steak, cedar plank salmon, and 6 oz filet mignon. We had an excellent dining experience. The lobster and crab stuffed scallops and the lobster and crab stuffed shrimp were both outstanding—fresh, well-prepared, and balanced in flavor. The lobster bisque was rich, smooth, and perfectly seasoned. They also served rolls with olive oil, so good. Overall, the food and service were exceptional, and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Beautiful location! We celebrated our Anniversary and we were seated in the front sun room which offered amazing sunset views. Eric was our waiter and his suggestions, pacing and personality made our meal all the more enjoyable. Everything was simply perfect!

We enjoyed our dinner at this location. Much better than the South Seas Resort further north. I had a cowboy ribeye which was delicious and perfectly cooked.

My partner and I celebrated my birthday a few days before Christmas and we had an amazing time! Our server Hannah was INCREDIBLE! She was knowledgeable about the wine list and recommended one that perfectly matched our dishes! She also was accommodating and kind to my partner’s dietary preferences and brought out a delicious dessert that we could both eat! Overall we had an amazing experience and I would highly recommend this restaurant.
