Captiva civic center and library. They have a book return on front side.

Captiva Library is delightful. Small but well stocked. It caters to the vacationer as well the year round population. It has a very comfortable reading area. To make it all the more interesting the Historical Society has a room which is so interesting with several up-to-date displays.

#6inaworldmadefor4 visited while on vacation. Exceptional facilities for its location, fun and interactive mini museum that was great for adults and kids alike. 5 star facility. Catering a family, solid childrens section. 1 star service. To be honest, sweet Hazel wasnt so sweet, so we had skidadl quick, but not in time for the librarian to come out around the counter and yell, Be Quiet!!@!!!, then turning around clutching her head as to if getting a migraine instantly from a child while muttering under her breath. We scooted quickly and apologize to anyone we annoyed. Also a sweet lady from Indiana knocked on our door the night before to see if we could help her open her dvds she had checked out...they hadnt been unopened Truth. Worth the trip, quiet and no questions in the libra

One of my favorite places in the world. Delightful place to sit and read. The collection is a bit too liberal, politically, but other than that terrific.

Small, but incredibly interesting history exhibit in addition to the chapel and graveyard.
