Boulder Tap House

Walked in to restaurant at about 1230 on a Monday afternoon. Gonna have a quick bite for lunch. I had a Dr appt at 130 so thought I'd make it. My hubby and I got seated right away. They weren't very busy. The bartender was our waitress. Got our drinks and we were deciding on our food. It took about 8 mins. for our waitress to come back to take our order. I ordered a chicken sandwich and my husband ordered a burger. As we sat there and waited, an elderly couple was seated behind us. After about 15 minutes, the elderly couple got their food and we still hadn't received ours. It was going on 110 pm. I approached the bar with cash for our drinks and told our waitress that we had to go and that other couple got their food before us. She didn't respond with any apologies or excuse

The Boulder tap is one of the restaurants we go to if we are in Mason City. It is clean. The atmosphere is of a sports bar, simple and pleasant, with many TVs to watch and good music playing. The beer menu has a big variety. The cocktails don't disappoint either. Just look at that loaded bloody mary! It is definitely a meal in its own. We always get bolder tap potatoes for appetizers... It's a must! My kid loved the fruity pebbles smoothie. The only negative is that somedays it can be a bit busy with some wait, but nothing that we couldn't hadnle. The staff is pleasant and accommodating. Enjoy!

Stopped for dinner on our way across the state. Chose burgers our server recommended. The brown sugar burger is sweet. The garlic burger was opposite. We preferred the garlic burger but everything was served quickly. Perfectly cooked burgers. Tasted very fresh. Lots of young employees providing great service quickly. Our server was fantastic!

Went here on a front desk hotel recommendation. It was bad. My wife ordered a glass of white wine, I got a glass of red. The red was bad, probably been open for a couple of days. I asked if they could open a new bottle. Nope. Can't do that. I asked if I could buy a fresh bottle. Nope. Can't do that. Fine, I ordered the white wine my wife had. We started with the cheese curds. Nothing special. I got the "smash burger" and my wife got the avocado chicken. I guess they don't know what a smash burger is here because it wasn't smashed at all. I was like a hockey puck in thickness and covered in the Alabama sauce to the point that picking it up would have required that I use a drop cloth to not make an epic mess. So I grabbed my fork and tried to cut one of the patties with the edge of the fork,

I love going to this place! My family and I enjoyed our every meal here
