SHOCKING. This is the type of library I only expect in larger towns and cities--what a treasure for Mason City! Eat and drink in the commons, indoor and outdoor seating, coffee shop's open weekdays 9a to 2p, amazing children's section with dedicated story time room and working fireplace for cold days, options for every age, video games, movies, magazines, audio books, vox, history/archives, online/app services, three stories' worth of books, computers, programs, events, amenities, and a lovely, helpful staff. As a librarian, I like to visit other libraries when I'm on vacation. We only made it to the children's section of this one due to a curious toddler, but it was gorgeous. So much light and an amazing story time room. The librarians were so friendly and gave us a million ideas for things to do and places to eat.

Love all the reading challenges they do for the kids! Big selection of kids books that are regularly updated and lots of DVDS too. We love the library.

Great books but always add more instead of like 10 a year
