The Blue Heron Bar & Grill

It was fine. Not the best food I've had, and not the worst. The server was pretty attentive and welcoming but the table next to us in the bar area was drunk and loud. The food was average. Kind of too greasy for what it was, and flavor was non-existent. It filled my belly, but didn't satisfy any cravings. The portions are hefty and the prices are competitive, but flavor and texture plays more of a part for me.

Great service. Simple atmosphere. Dive bar but the food is great! Waitress was on point. 10/30 at 2:30pm. Great lunch specials. Chimichanga is a Must!

My carryout food was horrible. The onion rings are burnt and clumpy. I found only 3 actual rings, the rest were clumps or brunt pieces. The fries were a little better . I'm they were ethier overly soggy or brunt. The only reason why i gave 1 star at all is because the waitresses were fast, courteous, attentive, and did an exceptional job. ts to bad the had to serve food that is nasty and should've never been sent out.

A fantastic place to eat and grab a few drinks! Molly was incredibly nice and all of the staff were working very hard! We are glad we stopped in!

Came upon this restaurant while traveling through IA and I’m glad we stopped. It’s a quaint little place with a bar, bar tops, and tables for dining. The service was extremely friendly and the lunch crowd was a lot bigger than I thought. Looked like a lot of locals which was nice to know they support small business owners. The food was what you would expect at a small restaurant. Large enough menu with a variety of options to choose from. The chicken sandwich was delicious. The breading on the chicken was so flavorful and crispy I would highly recommend!
