Blind Ox

The food was amazing. We ordered a few dishes to share. We also chose delicious cocktails on Boo's advice. They were all unique and flavorful. The atmosphere of this restaurant is intimate. We sat at the bar and it was super cozy. I recommend sitting at the bar when making a reservation.

The food is good, but the cocktails are the main event. I had 4 rounds of drinks and loved every single one of them - all very unique and balanced. I appreciate a boozy cocktail, but these are art. Both flavor and presentation. The dessert was the best of the food we had. Key lime pie was delicious, Spanish octopus was fun. Everything else was fine. The Mac n cheese balls are literally*just* Mac n' cheese balls. Nothing crazy. It's a tapas restaurant and we had 6 food items, and that was just enough (with cocktails) I wish I had gotten more pictures of the interior, because it is lush and beautiful. Will certainly visit again.

This is a unique, hidden gem. The first time we were in the area, we walked by it without even noticing! The entrance is between two buildings and they have an outside area with couches and other comfortable seating while you wait to go inside, and you can order drinks while you wait. They also have a valet service to assist with parking since there didn't seem to be many parking spaces there. Though the outside area is between two buildings, it is covered with tarps overhead and they have nice string lights that run along the top, and the sides of the buildings surrounding it have beautifully painted murals on them so it doesn't at all seem like what it is. Blind Ox is a little off the beaten path and provides an intimate experience. The bartenders and waiters are personable and attentive. I would definitely seat inside the restaurant as the ambience really sets the mood. The food is amazing along with the drinks. Everything is well balanced, thought out, and delicious. The food is Japanese inspired and fused with Western Cuisine. Drinks are over the top and everything is beautifully plated. Been there twice and highly recommend. The food is meant to be shared tapas style. Price point is high, but worth it. Dishes I particularly liked was the A5 Wagu Sandwhich, the King Crab Tempura, and the lobster rolls. Amazing food and atmosphere! Service was wonderful, attentive and super quick. The drink flights are worth it! And loved the ambiance and music!! Must go and check out! You'll be going back! Also love that there is $5 vallet parking (plus tip).. makes it so much easier!
