Applebee's Grill + Bar

We typically love Applebees, but we had a terrible experience tonight. We waited at the door 20 minutes waiting to be seated. Several employees, including the hostess, walked by and refused to make eye contact let alone try and speak to us. A group of servers were talking in a corner. A couple men walked behind the bar and made drinks. Not sure if they were employees who were not working or just customers but they didn’t have on anything on identifying them as service staff. Most tables were empty but still had dishes on them. We finally took a seat at a clean table near the bar where we were ignored for another ten to fifteen minutes. My wife finally stopped the hostess as she walked by and asked if we could be served. She told us we were in the bartenders area and that we weren’t

Let me start by saying that I am a regular patron here. Came in on a Saturday at 8:30 pm with my family, excited to eat a good meal. Unfortunately, there was a single big party and a couple of people at the bar, with literally half the restaurant open, and we were told it would be a 30+ minute wait because a single party just sat down. I have worked in food, and I can understand staffing issues. But on a Saturday night, you can't accommodate more than 20 people? What a joke. Management needs to be looked at very closely

Sadly this location been on a steady decline for many years now. Went to special they were advertising everywhere to be told they didnt have anymore hamburger to make it. When mentioning the steak the server told us not to order it's no good. Also said that about a chicken meal. The area we were sat in had two large groups that had left and the tables remained uncleaned during our stay. We had already ordered drinks before finding out they were either out of item or the item was not good to order. We ordered a chocolate lava cake with ice cream that took a while to get but was awesome!! Then we left. It will have to be rebuilt almost for my return. Applebee's needs to get it together or get out of the neighborhood!!

Food great, I had a ribeye steak, perfectly cooked. Service was slow and parts of the order never arrived, the salad, for example. They had no rice, but could have purchased some from the Food Lion next door. Choice of on tap beers is pathetic. Noisy group in the restaurant just kept shouting at each other because they all spoke so loud they couldn't hear each other. So the only solution is to shout louder.

Upon being seated, we were met with our waitress yelling to another coworker about an unknown dispute. Then when she finally came to our table, right from the start the communication was very weird. She came up to our table and just stared at us, didn’t ask us anything, like she expected us to start speaking first. We then waited 30 minutes to just get our drinks while we watched the bartender waiting tables himself and messing with the tv remotes trying to change the channels. Mind you, there were maybe 6 tables in the entire restaurant. IT WAS NIT BUSY AT ALL. Then another 15 minutes for our appetizers to come out. Then, 2 minutes after she set our apps down, she brought our entrees out. This is when the food issues began. I got the Bourbon Street chicken and shrimp dinner, the chicken a
