Zuri Coffee Co

Coffee and pastries were super yummy. The cronuts was one of the best. I felt bad for the employee, he was making drinks and managing the till all while dealing with a line to the door the whole time. 5 stars to the employee.

We started going to Zuri because the coffee is excellent & they make a perfect Flat White. Then one day I noticed the apple strudel, and bought a slice. It’s the most authentic strudel I have ever found, outside of Germany/Switz/Austria. So good! Today we ordered the steak sandwich, and I can’t believe I missed out on their food for so long! Everything is house made, fresh & delicious. We will now have to find excuses to head over to Truckee more often for coffee, pastries & lunch, or maybe that’s a good enough reason all by itself!

The single rudest, most obnoxious experience I’ve ever had at any coffee shop. In any country in the world. Extremely rude women who spoke to a customer in Spanish (which I speak fluently) about irrelevant issues for a good 10 minutes while people kept getting in my personal space to pick up their orders. Seemed like aforementioned woman was the owner/manager. Meanwhile, the one employee took a phone call instead of serving myself and the other customers who were being neglected due to the ridiculously long personal conversation taking place as the line continued to grow.

Zuri Coffee Bar is easily the best coffee spot in Truckee. We’ve visited several coffee shops in the area, but nothing else comes close. The food is next-level—the panini was perfectly pressed with crisp, golden bread, and the Linzer tart was truly incredible (seriously, don’t skip it). Prices are super reasonable, and to top it all off, the staff is genuinely lovely and so appreciative. Warm atmosphere, fantastic food, and kind people—Zuri checks every box.
