I tried Yangguofu Mala Tang and honestly it’s such a fun, customizable dining experience. You grab a huge bowl and walk along the ingredient bar filling it with whatever you’re craving. There are tons of veggies, noodles, tofu options, seafood, and meats, so it’s easy to mix and match. Once you’re done, they weigh your bowl and you pay by the pound, which makes it feel fair and totally in your control. After that, you choose your broth. You can go classic, mild, or full spicy mala depending on your heat tolerance. They cook everything fresh and bring it out steaming hot, and the flavors really soak into all the ingredients. I also loved the drink selection. They have so many options to pair with the spice, which makes the whole experience even better. Overall, it’s a great spot if you
FOOD beef bone broth is very good. just the right amount of flavor. i suggest mostly getting meat since everything is charged in weight. i did find a hair in my food though SERVICE owners and workers are very nice and friendly. service was also very fast. took about 7-10 mins. ENVIRONMENT this place is in like a food court type of area. has lots of seating— mostly for groups of 1-4. bathroom is clean
The pot here is crazy good—flavors hit just right, and the spice level was spot-on without overpowering everything. The tomato soup? Surprisingly nice, a good balance of tangy and sweet. Service felt chill and friendly, which made it all better. I don’t usually do reviews, but I’d come back for this.
The food and environment felt unhygienic. After eating here, I had stomach issues and diarrhea the entire next day. The place did not look clean, and overall the experience was very unpleasant. Additionally, I noticed that the restaurant encourages customers to leave positive reviews in exchange for free drinks. This makes many of the high ratings feel unreliable and unfair to future customers
The food is good and the prices are reasonable. They have an underground garage, so it makes it much easier to park. They do clean up regularly, but the sauce section can get pretty messy as people are messy when they scoop up the liquids. The broth flavors and ingredients are great. I recommend the bone broth. The lamb is great.
