Wild Ginger was an experience for the senses. A beautiful restaurant with exceptional service, and dishes that delight one’s palate. Every dish was exceptional and oh so flavorful! We dined prior to a concert at Benaroya Hall across the street. We felt welcomed, unrushed (our server asked what time our concert started, so thoughtful), and left satiated and happy ready to enjoy our concert. We started with the Thai spring rolls accompanied by crispy lettuce, fresh sprouts, and fragrant cilantro for wrapping. The sweet hot sauce was perfect for dipping. A light and delicious way to start the meal. For our mains we opted for the Northern Style Pork, and the Seabass Cha Ca. The pork was incredibly tender with bites of shoulder and belly in a delicious sauce made with warming spices or mace,
The duck and mongolian noodles were fantastic. José was our server-- he didn't even need to write down our orders, but still got everything perfect. Very impressive and quick. He also recommended the coconut cooler to us. It was good enough to be dessert on its own, but we still tried the chocolate mousse and definitely recommend it. Thank you for the great experience and recommendations Jose! We'll definitely be back.
I walked in here “I don’t have a reservation and I’m by myself”. Got sat at the bar which was perfect. Ordered their house Manhattan - perfect. Had the Thai seafood noodle platter - wide whole wheat noodles with prawns, squid and clams. Also perfect. Finished it off with a dirty gin martini. Thank you. Bartender and waiters were super chill and really cool.
Just finished eating here and had a lovely time. David provided fantastic service throughout the entire dining experience, and was a pleasure to interact with. Prior to arriving, I’d read great things about the Pad Thai and it certainly did not disappoint! Plus portion sizes are extremely generous. Had to get the rest to-go, and I’m now about to head home with another full meal in the bag. Is it “authentic” Southeast Asian food? Probably not. But it’s great for the American palate. Would definitely recommend!
We experienced unreasonable hospitality tonight, delivered via David who was so personable, so kind, so educated on the menu and went above and beyond to make our pre-Benaroya night out dinner so charming! We had the lettuce bowls, duck, vegetable pad Thai, hot tea, coffee and Marion Berry ice cream! An exemplary ambassador of Wild Ginger and Seattle hospitality. Thank you, David!
