Wawa

Im not crazy for Wawa as much anymore. The sandwiches have been good years ago but something seems off. They haven't brought back many drinks and the turkey bowls during the month of November has changed too. Its nice to pop in once in a while for a quick snack.

We've been patrons of Wawa for decades. For the past 3 years or so, getting their hoagies and being extremely impressed by the quality and freshness of their sandwiches. This is the only time we have received a bad hoagie. And we've gotten them at various SJ locations, PA, MD and VA - they were always great. See photos of bad lettuce, and even (totally out of no where - never asked for pepper just oregano) a whole peppercorn? Also a spicy hot pepper was in half of the sandwich. Didn't ask for hot or sweet peppers. Only lettuce, tomato and pickles. Absolutely shocked so much bad could happen in 1 hoagie. Even more shocked this negative experience happened at a Wawa.

There is a short older woman who wears glasses and works the late night shifts who is extremely rude. I typically see her past 10pm. Multiple times she has been very short with me and the food she makes is really bad too. This past time she practically yelled at me “what are you waiting for” about my mobile order. I replied with my order number and she said “we don’t have that” and walked away from me. Then, about five minutes later, another worker asked me and found my order. She has a terrible attitude and makes me feel bad for even ordering. I typically pick up food after work and I just have to avoid this Wawa location now. I genuinely just do not want to have to deal with her after a long day.

Just a typical Wawa but in a beach town. Quality sandwhiches per usual and plenty of snack, breakfast, and dinner options. Went with a firetruck and ambulance outside, and nobody was too too phased--a true testament to their focus on the craft of sandwhiches and customer service (everyone was okay). Parking was limited, but the people were friendly. Not a Wawa with a gas station, which is completely understandable, just make sure you know that going in.

Ordered a seasonal turkey bowl and side of small mac & cheese. $16. The quality and quantity have certainly downsized while the prices continually increase. One would surmise that if ordering a turkey bowl there should at least be some trace of turkey in it? I certainly won't make this mistake again. Take your money elsewhere.
