I almost don’t want to write this review at the risk of this place getting too popular to get a reservation. The Betz Room is simply The Best food in Ocean City, NJ. Nothing on the island compares. Not even close. You have to join as a member for a modest $25 per person. For those who do not know, Ocean City is a dry town and you cannot consume alcohol anywhere except a for few private clubs. Once you become a member of The Betz Room, you can BYOB and enjoy a fabulous menu. The foie gras app was seared to perfection, served on a date cake with ultra-thin rhubarb. Outstanding… as was the grilled asparagus with a perfectly poached egg, prosciutto and shaved parmigiana reggiano. Our mains were phenomenal. By far and away the best dinner in OC! They’ve done a great job here with the atmosphere/ design and the food was exactly what we’ve been waiting for. Great to be able to stay in OC when you want an elevated night out.
