Walk-up window for the most exquisite baked goods. I discovered them a few years ago when I took a baking class at King Arthur which is around the corner. I think I’ve tried everything (gasp!) and my favorites are the granola (seriously—I ship it to friends), chocolate shortbread cookies (omg), roasted onion bread, sour dough baguette, … well, it’s all freaking delicious! Sometimes there’s a specialty bake that you cannot go wrong with —cardamom cake, strudel, olive focaccia.
Amazing locally baked bread!! A lot of the wheat is grown in NW Washington and is stone ground next door at Cairnspring Mills. My sister has autoimmune issues and she flares up from regular store bought "bread." She has no issues with fresh real bread like you get at Water Tank Bakery. What you get in a grocery store is more preservatives than bread!
I was in the area for a class at the King Arthur Flour bread school, and popped over here for a quick visit during a break. I'm so glad I did! They had several breads and some excellent cookies, which come in bags of 4-6 depending on the cookie. I bought the oatmeal shortbread, ginger molasses, coconut almond "bee sting", and coffee toffee sandwich cookies. All were great but my favorite by far was the coffee toffee. Yum! And the breads looked so good I bought some even though I had bread from the baking class waiting for me back at the school. The person at the window was super friendly and informative about the products. The bakery has a walk-up window with a table outside. Highly recommended!
You’re being cereal with me? You gave me super gross moldy bread to take home. I bought a loaf, cut a slice to enjoy after giving birth to triplets, and I get this? Come on..
I got some of their products at the farmers market. Everything was perfect, cookie not super sugary, just perfect. Crostini were crunchy and plenty of flavor, tarts were delicious. I regret i didnt buy more. Thank you Autumn!
