Customer Reviews
Amazing bakery to stop in for lunch. They offer a variety of freshly made sweet and savory options. The broccoli quiche, tomato soup, and ham & cheese croissant were particular standouts. All the tables have generous views of the airport runway if you’re interested in airplanes. I recommend True North Bakery.
This is based solely on bakery items. We went on a Saturday and by the taste of items, they were day plus old. One cookie was hard as a rock and 3 days old and the 2 cookie items we got were bland and did not ha a buttery taste at all. Threw out the one with M&M’s and half of the S’mores. The cannoli was not crispy and was soggy and filling mediocre. The almond croissant was “ok”, but filling rather blah.Lemon bar was “ok”. An older couple was leaving when I did and had a list of complaints about their lunch, including too spicy and salty. The one shining star was the gal who waited on me. I really think you need to label your bakery items day old (or more) as when you go to a bakery, you expect freshness and quality at least as good if not better than your own home made goodies. Highly
Compliments to the chef for their exquisite pastry! I’m picky when it comes to croissants and pastries, but all of these are consistently phenomenal. Staff are welcoming, pleasantly talkative, and very helpful! •Goat Cheese & Pesto Croissant 5/5: the combo of ingredients is perfect. This is a showstopper; soft inside, crispy exterior, delish! •Roasted Red Pepper Croissant, 5/5: this is tied with the pesto goat cheese - try both! Again, this combo of roasted red pepper and cheese is another must try. •Ham & Cheese Croissant 4/5. •Chocolate Canolli 4.25/5: ends are tipped with mini dark chocolate chips, stuffed with whipped cream, and hint of cinnamon. Nice pastry, crunchy, flavorful. I’ve tried cannoli a few times, but never liked it. Now that I’ve tried this, I know it can be good! •
This is a great addition to the Skagit airport. It's a wonderful place for a quick breakfast or lunch before or after flying or if you just want to enjoy watching the aircraft while you eat. The baked goods are so tasty and we especially enjoyed the ham and cheese croissant and sandwiches. I can't wait to try their quiche and soups. The decor is simple and the dining area very clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming and their prices are competitive. I highly recommend True North Bakery and I will definitely return.
Nice place to have a coffee or lunch with a view of the airfield.
