Customer Reviews
Very nice rooms–clean, comfortable, cozy. Staff was wonderful, communicative and welcoming. Interesting concept, with big windows facing the jungle and screens you can pull down for privacy. The breakfasts they provided were great: quiche one day and French toast the other, both with fresh fruit. Fresh baked brownies were available in the lobby. The wi-fi worked great for us. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends. For reference, Volcano Village is really just a street with 2 stores and a few restaurants spread out along it. The Lodge is about 1 mile from the "Village" and only about 3 miles from the park entrance, which was very convenient. Had nice dinners at Volcano House and Lanikai Brewing.
I booked this place after lots of research. We wanted to stay close to the park. We booked the room Moana Kea. It was just as nice as the photos represented. It was a very private bungalow. We were able to relax, enjoy the daily breakfast and get to the park early before loads of visitors traveling from other parts of the island. I highly recommend staying here.
How to start about this place? It’s an amazing treehouse-feeling inn tucked in the jungle forest near the volcano!! And Drea made us the BEST breakfasts (we had quiche and banana pancakes and fresh fruit) and those brownies were literally the best brownies I have ever had! The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities - for a great stay! We will definitely be coming back!
We really enjoyed our one night stay at the Volcano Village Lodge. It was so cozy, unique and we loved the treehouse feeling. Being only 10 minutes away from the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park was so convenient that we got to go at night to see the volcano spewing lava on January 24. The service was great as was the breakfast that was brought to our room.
enchanting rustic setting. felt like we were in a treehouse with all the vegetation around us. Staff welcoming and responsive. Breakfast left in our fridge the night before was a little less than what we expected. But overall a very positive experience.
