Aloha Junction Bed and Breakfast

After booking our stay, I had a few questions and called the contact number. I was immediately connected with the owner and was able to get all the information I needed. She was very helpful! The instructions for checking in were clear and easy to follow. My room - the Gardenia - was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Breakfast every morning was a delight. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful - a great place to relax after a day of hiking. It is less than 5 minutes from Volcano National Park. This was my first bed & breakfast experience, so I don't know how it compares to others, but the sound proofing between rooms is less than what I am used to in hotels. Fortunately, all the guests followed the quiet hours, so it wasn't an issue. I spent four nights there and would do it again

This place looks nice, but it's horrific in ways that can ruin your trip. Imagine you arrive with small children after a long journey and you can't check in because you don't know the code on the door. You call both numbers on the website (read carefully: (808) 987-0844 vs (808) 967-0844) but you get nothing. Both numbers are just slightly different from the one you have written down (disconnected; is that your mistake or did they change the number?). You try to go to the owners place next door but a threatening dog prevents you from approaching her door. You get a text from another different phone number... it's the owner asking if you are checking in tomorrow (no, right now) and then asks if you're checking out tomorrow (no, in 3 days, like the *confirmed reservation email* says?)... she

We stayed 2 nights while visiting VNP. Location is perfect and so close that we went out of the park for lunch and returned in the afternoon. Theon’s are clean and have everything we needed. The king bed was comfortable. Breakfast is simple but fresh from local market. Best of all, Susan the host is wonderful. She was very helpful and accommodating and a pleasure to talk with. Definitely recommend.

Susan, the host, was always very accommodating and genuinely cared if you had everything you needed and was enjoying the stay. Parking is free and it only takes a couple of minutes to get into Volcano National Park. I highly recommend Aloha Junction and will stay there again. Mahalo Susan.

My husband and I stayed in the Paniolo Room for 3 nights. It was perfect! The king-size bed was comfortable. The room was quiet and dark, which is ideal for a good night's sleep each and every night. Good water pressure for showering! Susan's breakfasts were a great way to start each morning. The menu was varied. One morning we ate macadamia nut pancakes and Friday morning we ate omelettes. In the background, Hawaiian music played while we ate. The location of the B&B was convenient to drive to HAVO and to walk to Lanikai Brewing Company for dinner.
