Viva Cow Dog & Café

This place was absolutely exceptional. The service was great, the lovely gentleman running the truck was super kind and the food was amazing. We got 4 hot dogs total, 3 different kinds and they were all super flavorful and delicious, as were the potatoes. The vibe of the place itself was adorable and if you're there and a puppy drops a small object on your foot it wants you to play fetch with it (which is the most amazing type of entertainment while waiting for you food imo)

Very good dogs!!! Lots of choices. The smashed potatoes are very flavorful! Mexican cokes. Even the elderly like the food. Trendy atmosphere. Artsy, eclectic. Music and Kai, the entertaining dog. She plays with you and a piece of wood or a rock. Very smart. You won't get one over on her.

A wonderful gem in Alpine, TX. The food was great and the service was friendly and genuine. A great variety and as a bonus there's a playful puppers that loves to play fetch. Ample outdoor seating and an overall good vibe. This will be a staple everytime we pass through Alpine.

What a great idea! Some delicious choices and 2 sizes available. We went with the German and El Pastor - would repeat over again in a heartbeat. Mac n cheese is delicious and comes with a great kick. Fun little patio and easy bathrooms.

I’m not one to be dramatic…. BUT OMG this place is freaking amazing! I got the El Pastor, because I was feeling adventurous and living on the edge. It was probably the second best decision of my life. The bun was perfectly toasted and didn’t fall apart on you. The hot dog was perfectly grilled. But it was the toppings that sent it to another galaxy. The cilantro pesto and mayo sauces were phenomenal. But I think it was the unassuming grilled pineapple tidbits that made this the best hot dog, like ever.
