Violante's Meat Market

Wow!! Just LOOK at how awesome this Italian sub is!! The bread is the one of the best I’ve ever had on a sub in Nutley. Fantastic and super cute place. Def worth $10 for a small sub, normally something I’d gripe about, but this time it is totally worth it.

Violante’s in Nutley on Franklin Ave is an excellent Italian food market. Everywhere you look, you will find delicious meats from the butcher to mouth watering sandwiches at the deli counter and sweet bakery desserts. A great butcher is rare these days and my family has been shopping here since 1985 (originally at the Bloomfield location). This family owned business is truly heaven with the modernized upgrades and decor. Junior is a “treat” as well !!! 😊 The food is fresh and delicious with a large variety of choices to select. As you walk through the doors everyone is extremely welcoming and helpful. It’s apparent that they LOVE their customers and call many by name. Violante’s Meat Market in Nutley is hands down the best when it comes to quality meats and exceptional service! This Thanksgiving, we ordered their spatchcocked turkey, and it was absolute perfection – tender, juicy, and cooked evenly with incredible flavor. You can tell the care and expertise that goes into their preparation. Beyond the turkey, their selection of fresh meats is unmatched, with cuts that are always top-tier. And don’t even get me started on their sandwiches – they are loaded with flavor and made with the freshest ingredients. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help with recommendations. Violante’s is a true gem for all your meat and deli needs. Highly recommend!

I’m always searching for the good ol Italians delis that seem to be disappearing quickly and by luck …we stopped here and felt like I had found gold 💪 it’s modern, clean and filled with fresh everything! We took home mortadella, amazing rice balls (not dry and hard) and cheese … definitely going back for more !!! I do wish they had a place to sit and have a coffee.. maybe it’s in the works 🙏 Go, taste and enjoy 😉

Awesome Old School deli. One of the best, consistent sandwiches I had in my life. .Always get our company Christmas party catering from here too. Run by an old school Italian family and definitely run right. I wish more places had work ethics like this place.
