Mike's Pasta Shoppe

First time trying this Deli and we ordered the “Mikes Chicken Cutlet Sandwich.” By far the best chicken cutlet sandwich I’ve ever had. You can tell from the first bite that they use really quality ingredients and it’s well worth the money. Can’t wait to try the other menu items, this will definitely become our go-to deli in Nutley.

What an incredible experience we had at Mikes. I planned for a pasta making class to celebrate my birthday and Mike really showed up and showed out. From the fun step by step on making delicious gnocchi to Sean who was there to assist with anything we needed and the 4 course dinner that followed. I cannot express enough what a phenomenal experience this was. The entire dinner was another dish even more delicious than the last. The cheese, the ricotta spread, marinated tomatoes, truffle pasta, pistachios pasta, cannolis. There was nothing that did not wow! In addition, because I was hosting a party at home after the pasta making and dinner. Mike was also able to get me set up with a sandwich tray and tomato & mozzarella tray to bring home for the party guests and everyone raved about the

This is high quality Italian specialty deli. Do not look at prices. Look at the quality ingredients. You will find something you like. If you can’t just ask one of the fine gentleman that can recommend. I personally never had a legit Mortadella sandwich aka panino, it was quality. You can’t go wrong with any sandwich. And if you don’t like to cook every night, you can order a take home Italian American specialty.

Went with my daughter after seeing the spicy grilled cheese highlighted in the paper. Old deli feel with homemade salads and refrigerated sauces/pasta to go. My chicken cutlet sandwich was huge and very good. My daughter's spicy grilled cheese was a whole heck of a lot of cheese and she said it was very good. Two sandwiches and a 1/2 pound of potato salad were $31.99 but I would definitely go back again.

I have been eyeing this shop ever since Pig and Prince closed down. It's a cool looking place, you can see where they make the fresh pasta in house and all of their meats and salads are on display as well. Please be aware that their menu is primarily sandwiches. We thought you could order pasta dishes as well but you have to buy the fresh pasta and sauce and make yourself. Which was no problem, just not what we anticipated. We decided to get the eggplant sandwich which had fried eggplant, whipped ricotta and tomato jam. Very unique! And the chicken cutlet sandwich which had breaded chicken cutlet, provolone, arugula, roasted red peppers, and balsamic on great crispy bread- superb! We got a pound of fresh rigatoni and their homemade pasta sauce. We had that the next day for dinner and it wa
