Villa Bernese

Marianne and Tony were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was delicious. Quite a feast. Conversation with them was great. Their home is gorgeous and in a beautiful setting.

The Villa Bernese is a beautiful B&B owned by a lovely couple. Tony and Marianne are wonderful hosts and made us feel like we were visiting family. They invited us to sit on their deck and have wine with them while we all chatted and shared stories of our lives. We were the only guests during our stay so we were upgraded to the most wonderful room, their suite with a jacuzzi. The whole house is beautiful and the views are amazing! The breakfast was also fabulous! Marianne is a wonderful cook and every dish was delicious. We will definitely return!

Treated like (perhaps better) then family. Wonderful husband/wife B&B owners with impeccable taste, old-world courtesy and charm with a magnificent hand designed and hand built home with fantastic presentation. Located at a picture-perfect location on the mountain, with a birds-eye view of the entire valley below and mountain range in the distance. Every amenity normally reserved for a loved one were given to us. The room we chose was of perfect design and comfort. Stalled glass shower and full 2-person Jacuzzi bath. Double wash basins and an decor not normal seen in a bathroom. Canopy king bed, chaise lounge (circa the sixteen hundreds, I believe), full heat-AC controlled by you, and on and on. The best B&B we have ever stayed at. Marianne & Tony are a beautiful couple, the home, which they literally built themselves, is stunning. Mariannes' breakfasts are such that you will not go wanting, and probably won't need to eat again until much later in the day! Make sure you leave enough time in your day to return and spend some time talking with them and sharing a bottle of wine. We left feeling like we had known them for years. The setting, up on a hill, is just beautiful, yet you are only a short drive from the Museum and downtown Corning. Do not pass up staying here!

We have been traveling with a group of friends to various B&B's for the past 19 years. We have stayed in some very nice places, but this B&B is, by far, the best place we have stayed. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, as were the public spaces. Breakfast was so far beyond our expectations that there isn't enough space here to describe it The best part of this experience was our hosts, Marianne and Tony. They are warm and gracious and had the most interesting stories. We all so enjoyed chatting with them around the breakfast table and on their lovely deck in the afternoons sharing a glass of wine. All in all I would highly recommend a stay here.
