Customer Reviews
Very iconic Cafe on Route 66. I had the BBQ beef brisket sandwich. It was delicious! There is also a small gift shop/museum attached. The staff are very friendly and the woman in the gift shop was very knowledgeable about the local history.
We have eaten here twice now. Shamrock is the hometown of my husband, and we try to stop in Shamrock when traveling in this direction. We were greeted with smiles, the restaurant is decorated in the look of the 1950-1960’s, very cute. Our drink order was take quickly; we were given time to view the menu. I had the Waldorf salad, and he had the Mom’s Meatloaf. Our meals were served quickly and were delicious! My husband visited with the owner about the area and changes in the past 40 years. They do have daily specials made fresh and made from scratch desserts.
Definitely a very unique building and combination of Conoci service station and diner. When you walk in it's very neutral but there are a lot of things to see on the walls. The staff was friendly and greeted me however, I did not stay in or order any food. The old booths, counters and tan colored chairs are definitely a different vibe than most other diners I have visited which tend to be red. It definitely is an old-school retro interior. The exterior of the building appears to be tiles which are a lime green and match the building which looks freshly painted in a light cream or beige color. Worth the stop to see the architecture. There is also a Tesla charging station there so I'm assuming it's a great place to stop if you want to get something to eat while your car charges. Worth
Retro Cafe made from an old gas station. Selection of food is more towards brisket and grilled chicken. Food was great. Took one star only because I’m picky on the tortillas used in the chicken burrito I chose. You can tell it’s store bought. But that’s ok. I ate it all. Would I come back? Yup.
The U Drop Inn and the town it's in is definitely worth the stop. You can just tell that town used to be so alive. A lot of abandoned businesses, old cars, and old busted neon signs. Only negative was the out of place Tesla chargers behind U Dropp Inn, it's so out of place it looks unnatural to everything else lol.
