Town and Tide Inn

Cindy was incredibly welcoming. The property was immaculately maintained, and the cozy and clean room exceeded our expectations. We were recommended Room 10, and it lived up to the hype. The location is ideal for a short walk to either the beach or downtown. With parking becoming a major issue for tourists in the city, this is a significant advantage. As a lifelong Newport resident, this hidden gem is perfect for repeat visits. We’ve already booked our return trip.

What a lovely property this is. We stayed the weekend in room 10. The room had everything you could want including 2 outdoor seating sections. The bottled water in the room was a nice added touch. The ‘shed’ where afternoon coffee/hot chocolate was located, was adorable and well stocked. There’s such a comfortable vibe in there, that it draws you in to relax for a few moments. They’ve even thought to include the marshmallows and crushed peppermints for the hot chocolate! The location is about 3/4 of a mile (straight walk) to the Main Street in Newport. About 15 minutes walk. The town is decorated beautifully for the holiday. We will definitely return to this property in the future. Highly recommend to others! Oh, the breakfasts will knock your socks off! Sooooo good! Hats off to the staff

This place is a little hidden gem. I didn’t realize I had booked a bed and breakfast, but I’m glad I did. The property is very well maintained and adorable. The shed with coffee and hot chocolate was definitely a hit with our group, and the proximity to town and the beach is amazing. Breakfast, although preset, was delicious. Our room was very nice, and it smelled noticeably clean upon entering. If I had to offer one small piece of feedback, it would be that the pullout bed could use a little extra support. Still, it didn’t take away from our wonderful experience.

The inn was welcoming and very comfortable. We stayed for two nights as a quick girls get away before Christmas. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Location was perfect. Our room was spotless and very welcoming. The bed provided a solid, comfortable sleep. I want my husband to build me my own “Shed”. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate available 24/7 was delightful in a warm cozy spot. Breakfast was served in a sunlight bright room with everything you could want! It was delicious too! We will definitely go back!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Town & Tide for 3 nights in December. Tonie and Cindy were wonderful hosts/innkeepers & clearly are a great team who work well together. We notified Tonie the day of our arrival to say we'd be arriving prior to the check in time and wondered if there'd be an issue, but Tonie was more then accommodating to see us to our room early. The breakfast every morning was delicious and very satisfying. We met Cindy that morning at breakfast and she was very helpful in suggesting some dinner places for our last night. Both ladies were quite funny & entertaining, as well. The inn itself is very charming, and tastefully done. Everything was clean and organized. Parking was a plus, as we found out quickly that Newport doesn't have a lot of parking options. The
