I stayed at the Captain Simeon Potter House last week, and it was hands down the best service I’ve ever experienced. The house itself is beautiful — historic, well-maintained, and full of character, while still feeling clean, comfortable, and high-end. The location is perfect — right near the water and within walking distance to Bowens Wharf, downtown Newport, and great restaurants. Everything was easily accessible. What truly made the stay special was the hospitality. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and made us feel genuinely welcomed the entire time. I will never stay anywhere else when I’m in Newport. Highly recommend.

My sister and I just returned from a few days in Newport and stayed here while we toured around. What a treat! The house is amazing and beautifully curated; the bedrooms so comfortable; the breakfasts were delicious; and it was situated so that we could walk to many of the places we had on our list to do! Sarina was a charming host and gave us great ideas for touring the town. Ask her about the Blue Garden and get tickets!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

What can I say? Sarina was an amazing host (reached out way before and made sure -at all times- that we were comfortable and had all the info we needed-) and the place is wonderful! The location is great and very close to the pier and the wharf... The rooms, house, kitchen, food and overall quality of everything in the establishment was TOP NOTCH! We stayed there during our honeymoon and loved the experience!

My husband and I loved our stay at CSP! We were in Newport for the first time and Sarina gave us invaluable tips on activities, parking, and local foodie spots. Captain Simeon is also in a fantastic location right next to Goat Island (beautiful sunsets!) and walkable to the wharf. We felt so relaxed and welcome here in this gorgeously renovated historic home full of light, plants, and cozy touches like afternoon sweets and a delicious breakfast spread. Recommending this spot to friends and family and would love to go back in the future!

We stayed at Captain Simeon Potter house for three nights in April 2025 and had a wonderful stay - great location just a short walk to the centre of town. The house is absolutely beautiful, the rooms, and importantly the beds, are supremely comfortable and there were lots of small touches such as flowers and toiletries that really make a difference. Sarina and Joanna were exceptional hosts - the breakfast was amazing and other treats were left for us to enjoy during the day. Thank you so much!
