Windsome Bed & Breakfast

Excellent stay! There are two suites available, Autumn and December. They are on the second floor of the house and share a common area that has a dining table, couch, and small balcony. Quiet neighborhood. Clean room with large, attached private bathroom. Small TV available in room. There is AC. Convenient location with off-street parking available only ~10min drive to most attractions. Provided with shampoo, soaps, nice towels. Did not find a hairdryer but that’s alright. Patrick prepared a great breakfast of eggs, toast, and fruit. He was easy to communicate with via text. I would stay here again and do recommend this B&B for Newport visitors!

It is a stretch to call this Bed and Breakfast as breakfast is not included - available for $30 US and it is not a cooked breakfast. Understand that this is an operation run as a side hustle by the owner/operator. I stayed three nights and never saw the owner(s). No one was there to receive me and I ended up in the wrong room, unbeknownst to me. The air conditioner had a loud rattle that kept me awake the entire first night. I contacted the owner to request that it be fixed or replaced and he said that he would do it "after work". I assume that he had a better offer for his Friday night because he decided not to do it which I discovered when I returned to a hot room late the second evening. I had to keep the AC off and then had a fan blowing hot air all night which I do not like. Agai

I don't have photo of the room I stayed in, but since other had already posted, no need to post the same thing. Overall the stay was excellent, there are many pros and only a couple of not so pro. Let me start with what was great about the stay. The street was a very narrow street with street parking, but the Inn had it own off street parking area, makes me feel safer about not getting ding or scratch on my car. The room was spacious enough for a couple, we are on our anniversary trip without our kids so it was perfect. With all the blinds and currents up, the room was very bright and friendly, as well as the decorate. It has a very inviting feel, exactly the ambiance I was looking for, for an anniversary. My father consistently stays here when he comes to visit us from Vermont. Let’s just preface that he’s a hard cookie to please and a tough critique. He is ⭐️ALWAYS HAPPY⭐️ and the owner couldn’t be nicer!! We’ve grabbed takeout and brought it back to his room before and just hung out around. I surprisingly don’t have any photos of the interior (this is of the beautiful backyard). He has stayed here multiple times and always enjoys coming back. I can’t say how happy my dad is every time he stays in regards to cleanliness, friendly owner, spacious rooms, privacy, accessibility to town, and truly how kind they are as well. If I could give a 12/10 ⭐️ I would.

My wife and I had an excellent getaway here for our 5 year anniversary. The Autumn room was spacious and the B&B location was great - a refreshing walk to the Cliff Walk and to downtown or a quick Uber around Newport. Pat’s breakfasts were excellent and the portions were huge. For the smallest state, Windsome goes big for breakfast. Our children are still eating leftover fruit from our trip. Great B&B!
