Tocolo Cantina - Garden City

We went to Tocolo Cantina recently for dinner and had a great time. We had ordered the carnita burrito bowl and the chicken enchiladas... both were delicious. Server was great, he had recommended the carnitas to us. The only down side I would say is the reception team - they were not very welcoming as we came in and didn't even bother to say bye or thank you a we were leaving.

I and my son went there for lunch after shopping at trader Joe's. They offered lunch menu. I had tacos and my son had a brittos. The menu was included appetizers and drinks I think. Portion of food was filled and quality is very high and used very fresh ingredients . Service was friendly and decorations were good to be relax and enjoy the sun. We are looking forward to going back when the weather is getting nice. Highly recommend.

Our group was a walk-in but we were accommodated pretty quick even tho it was a busy night. Our server was kind, patient and provided great service. Shout out to Uri! Food menu is kind of like Mexican-American fusion — Drinks were tropical/strong & we really enjoyed our meals. Deff would come back! :)

Tocolo Cantina in Garden City is a nice, medium-sized Mexican restaurant located in a strip mall. They offer a good variety of dishes, and I visited for Taco Tuesday happy hour. The decor didn’t really stand out to me, but the service was friendly and efficient. We were quickly served chips and salsa, which were very good. I ordered a classic margarita from the happy hour menu, and it was tasty and well-balanced. For food, I tried one birria taco and one al pastor taco. Both were decent but not great. You have to ask for cheese on the birria taco, which I didn’t realize, so it came out a bit dry. The consomé also wasn’t the best. Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had and my sister’s favorite wings! I’ve been here a few times now and have always enjoyed my experience. The food is pricey especially considering there are authentic hole in the wall places with tacos for 2-3 dollars. However the flavors are great and the tacos are large and well made. The honey garlic wings are also really great. I came most recently for happy hour which is 4-6 on weekdays I believe. The happy hour deals are pretty good and the food is filling so you can have a few drinks and some food for less than $50. They were also able to accommodate for dietary restrictions.
