Times Grill

Tonight my fianceé and I tried Times Grill at the bar area for the first time since moving to Slidell. Let me say we did not know they close at 9 when we arrived at 8. We ordered the raspberry lemon drop martini which was delicious!!! My fianceé ordered a cup of chili which was lukewarm and sweet (she didn’t like it nor complained). I ordered the jacked up burger but my onions were not sautéed, my cheese wasn’t melted, and the onion rings were not good. The bartender was rude to us and was not welcoming at all. She took our orders and did not come back to check on us not once! When she bought our food we noticed that the utensils bought with them were dirty and had to request plastic. Went to Times Grill and spent almost $50 for two burgers, fries, one mac and cheese, and two drinks. Way overpriced for what we got. This place had really positive reviews, which is why we went. I honestly don’t understand why. The burgers were bad. No flavor at all. They needed salt badly. Garlic, pepper—anything. They tasted like frozen Costco burgers, and the Costco ones are better. Just bland. Fries and mac and cheese didn’t save it. Nothing stood out. Service was fine. No issues there. But the food itself was terrible.

*I can not rate service & atmosphere as we ordered delivery.* The food though was absolutely TO DIE FOR. I got the burger since it was my 1st time eating here with lettuce, pickles & onions with coleslaw. The misses got the Shrimp Ranchero wrap with fries. Our food arrived still hot, filling our home with aroma that alerted even the pets. My burger was delicious, cooked as ordered & juicy on thick perfectly grilled slices of sourdough. The coleslaw was definitely not from a bag or commercially made. It instantly skyrocketed to #1 on the taste charts in my opinion. The 1 single bite I had to steal from my partners plate inspired me to get my own next time. The fries & dipping sauce also hit home runs with their efforts. Serving the meanest burgers in town is this rock solid foundation on Front street. Right around the corner its Times, now one of two, where the crew on top of it all, makes any day or night right. Spot it right next to the train station in Slidell on front street and ask for the lovely Darby holding it down at the bar. We'll be sure to see her and the rest of this colorful cast now bringing the heat. Keep those boys in check Ms Darby. Im sure we'll be seeing you soon.

Times grill is one of our favorite places to eat in Slidell. Whether it's a burger, comfort, food or seafood, you can get a great meal and a good drink when you need it most. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating.
