La Pines Cafe

Local breakfast place that doesn’t disappoint. I dropped in while on a trip, didn’t want to face another Waffle House. It was a good decision. Perfect hash browns, crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. Eggs cooked exactly as I requested. Sausage was tasty and not dry. The price was very fair, the service was attentive, and my coffee cup was never empty. It was filled with locals that know they have a great of thing going. No complaints, I’m happy I found it.

Pretty decent service, but the food was just ok. Eggs weren’t great. My daughter didn’t end up eating her eggs. The omelets was fine. Nothing mind blowing. Same with grits. Everything was serviceable but nothing blew our minds. It’s a very very busy place, lots of hustle and bustle going on. Prices are good, especially for that area. Place is a little dingy, but I don’t mind that necessarily. I love a good hole in the wall spot, but I definitely could see that being a problem for some. Oh also Sundays they only do breakfast, nothing else.

This was the best diner I ate at thus far.. great tasting food… great service and awesome prices …

What an awesome spot for some delicious food! Our waitress was the best! I had the Cobb salad. You can tell they really care about quality. I also loved how they plated the salad. Very fancy in my opinion. Our family will definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

This place is my new favorite dive and I will visit every time I’m in Slidell. The food and the service are excellent. You can tell they care about the food and they equally care about their customers. They put a creative twist on traditional breakfast dishes and add a few creations of their own. Go hungry and leave completely satisfied.
