The Wharf at Holden Beach

Made reservations for Valentine's Day. My wife and I ordered their Valentine's Day special. It came with a soup, salad, main course and dessert. I had the lobster bisque, filet mignon with lobster tail, mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley, for dessert creme brulee. I am not much of a salad eater but it looked amazing. The quality of the food and the portions made it one of the best meals I've had at any restaurant. Service was great, there was live music playing that was nice while enjoying our meal. The chef walked by and asked how our meal was and we had a nice conversation and on the way out we bumped into an owner who asked us what we thought of our meal and was a very nice person who seemed interested and invested. We enjoyed our first dinner at The Wharf tonight, and we will be back! The service was super friendly. They were a lot of fun, loved our dog, and were happy to serve us on their beautiful outdoor deck. What can be better than watching the sun go down over the bridge? The food was truly wonderful. Our favorite was the chef’s special twist on hush puppies, and the poke bowl and blackened fish tacos were pretty special too. Looking forward to our next visit!

Didn’t realize this spot had changed from SmacNally’s to The Wharf, but either way, we enjoyed a great dinner. The catch of the day was good along with the fried shrimp platter. One of the best waterfront patio spaces at Holden Beach. It’s the perfect place to unwind, watch the boats and take in the sunset. Hoping they continue the live music lineup like they had last summer — it really adds to the atmosphere. Overall, a solid addition (or refresh!) to HB.

We stopped in for the first time yesterday. We had the early bird, soup and sandwich. The clam chowder was delicious. I had the spicy margarita. Delicious. Our bartender was Taylor. She was really the best. We had a great time. We’ll be back!

We asked for the shrimp platter to be prepared grilled and blackened instead of fried. The chef was able to do that for us and it was quite delicious! REALLY wish it could be added to the menu full time!! Also had the mango shrimp wrap which was also quite good! Homemade carrot cake for dessert was a delectable finish to our meal! Our server Jessica was wonderful! Great experience!
