Simply Barbecue

My family and I have been vacationing at Holden Beach for 20+ years, and I’ve been meaning to try this place but always forget. So finally, we stopped by and tried the BBQ today. I absolutely love BBQ and had to try it, and it did not disappoint. I got a pulled pork sandwich, and my wife got the special of the day: pulled pork/diced brisket sandwich. Both sandwiches were outstanding with generous portions! Food was absolutely —> 🔥🔥🔥 We’re from Kentucky, and there are several good BBQ spots back home, and I would rank this towards the top of the list in terms of quality of BBQ. Both the pit masters and her mother run the BBQ spot and are very kind and good people. The mother served in the Marine Corps and is a lovely lady and is also from Kentucky!! I highly recommend eating at Simply BBQ.

This was my first time trying this place. I don’t have any complaints about the actual taste of the food, but I don’t really want to find a plastic bread tab in the middle of the pile of meat. Granted it’s not a bug or anything like that, but it still makes me question their food preparation methods. Maybe they were in a hurry, but even still, I shouldn’t be finding things like that in my food.

Been here several times, always fantastic! First time, I got the Old Man, a sample of all the meats and sides as well as the apple crisp, loved it! The pulled pork and brisket sandwiches are huge and delicious. And if you like sweet cornbread, try theirs, incredible. If you like ribs, you are gonna want to try here, amazing. Loved the sides, especially the baked beans and potato salad. Always fresh and always on point.

Every year thing for our crowd. Look forward to it all year. Incredibly delicious!! I recommend everything on the menu. We feed 10 with the Family of 6 deal. Of course, we always get extra cornbread just because everyone wants several pieces and it tastes like cake 🤫 2025 update Everything was just as wonderful this year as it has been in the past. Bought extra this year so we can make two meals of it. I wore my simply bbq shirt from last year. It's kinda like wearing your Christmas sweater on Christmas.
