Old Ferry Seafood

This was great! We got a low country boil with easy cooking instructions and had a nice seafood super back at the cottage by the beach.

Went today to get scallops and shrimp. Shrimp came in straight off the boat today. Scallops come fresh every week from VA. Can't get any fresher than that! Great prices too . Very clean, great owner. Will be back.

Stopped in to pick up some shrimp for dinner. We first noticed how clean the place was inside and the lack of fishy smell that some other places have. The fish were all covered when we arrived, but an employee quickly uncovered them so we could see the fresh catch. Ended up getting 2.5 pounds of peeled, deveined shrimp at what we felt was a very reasonable price. Pros: 1.) Good prices. Their prices for shrimp and other catch all seemed very reasonable. 2.) Good service. Employees were very attentive. Cons: 1.) Cocktail sauce. We love a spicy cocktail sauce, and the "spicy" one they recommended was hardly spicy at all. Very minor critique, but we love places that make their own and they only have premade brands. Would definitely stop in again to try out some of the other seafood they off

Always fresh selections of shrimp, tuna, flounder, scallops, clams, catch of the day, etc. They offer a seafood boil package, just tell them how many people band they put it all together for you! Genuinely great seafood place... We go every time we're at Holden Beach. We tried the crawfish (crayfish to those up North), nice side for the grilled shrimp over grits with cornbread salad.

This is a great local find for seafood. They only had two kinds of fish, they were ones that looked fresh from the day. They were grouper and red snapper. They also had fresh shrimp and some that were slightly older but they were peeled and deveined. Would highly recommend we'll come back next year.
