Wait staff was very nice. But maybe understaffed? Seemed like it took a long time for our drinks, food, and check. Not ridiculously long, so Don't mean to condemn. Burger was good, but definitely not the best in town, unless by town they mean the single stoplight. Fried bologna was very good. Desserts were unbelievably good, and picture perfect.
We picked up a few Fish Fry's on Friday night. The fish had Panko Breading and was cooked nicely. Fish was very flakey and full of flavor; they do keep the skin on. Fries were crispy and the coleslaw was not super sweet like many I've had from other places. I also ordered the lemon tabassco soup for my lunch the next day. It was amazing. I could eat that everyday. Lots of clams and veggies, very hearty. Lastly dessert. The star of the show for me was the Keylime Pie, so fresh, very good key lime flavor. The second desert was the Creme Brulee Bread Pudding, it was very good too. Highly recommend.
On Grand Island. Off the beaten path. From the outside looks like a small home. Nothing special Inside is lovely. Lots of tables and a bar area. Comfortable and a real homey feel. Excellent food. I enjoyed a really good beef on Weck. Meaty and good taste Lots if fries. My sister enjoyed a fried Bologna sandwich that looked great. Not something you find every where. We share a piece of home made peanut butter pie. Amazing. Glad we shared it. Highly recommend
The food was very good. The restaurant seemed run down and was kinda slow for getting out the food. Regardless the meal was delicious. Update The service wasn't good. The waitress wasn't attentive. They also never put in the order for one of the people at the table. Our drinks were empty and never refilled when they dropped the food off. I had to flag the girl over to refill my drink. They never checked in with us until they brought the bill.
Amazing food! Lots of homemade deliciousness. Theres always at least 5 different to die for homemade soups of all varieties and a large menu with lots of choices. The pastas are my favorite! Their daily specials go above and beyond expectations. Save room for dessert theres a crazy amount of homemade dessert options as well! Awesome service and amazing food highly recommend!
