Grand Island Memorial Library

Another great library in the Buffalo and Erie County Library system, this is the only public library branch on Grand Island. Surrounded by Veterans Park, it has a great view from the entrances. As with all the branches, the staff were welcoming and helpful. They do have several study rooms, though they are a little on the smaller side. They do have a glassed-in kids area and a really nice community room that's separated from the main library area, helping to keep noise distractions at a minimum for library patrons.

Always fun activities for kids and we love the play area. My kids always ask to come just for the scavenger hunt and prize.

This place was a second home to me as a kid and now I enjoy bringing my child to read and play. They have a nice play area for the kids with some toys. A mural was updated in the children's section and is really beautiful. My child noticed it right away. Lots of kid activities posted like story times and Lego club for the bigger kids. I'll always love this library!

I love the library and the ability to order books online, and pick them up. Didn't have a great experience with some of the staff back in 2017/2018, but my experience has been mostly positive in the recent years.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Library is clean, neat and I enjoy the garden. I do wish there were chairs with arms for patrons who have mobility issues. Hope at some point the cooking demonstrates could resume.
