The Upper Crust

Very casual, very affordable. Best sandwich I ever had. The Babe, chicken cutlet, ham, Swiss lettuce, tomato on toasted sour dough and warm with delicious melted cheese. Perfect! Husband had the Italian sandwich, really tasty, lots of meat.

Have happily been Eating at the Upper Crust my entire life!, and before this it was Huckleberries as well. Always fresh pies, cookies, deserts. Sandwich’s for breakfast and lunch, but make sure your early or you might miss your favorite, Sausage Egg and Cheese Croissant does me just right! Dont forget the smores! Take a cowpuddle and probably 2 chocolate chip with ya.

I’m 38 years old and I remember going to the Upper Crust as a child. They have the BEST cookies and croissant breakfast sandwiches! And such a wonderful, charming atmosphere.

I really like this tiny, quaint bakery! my boss loves their cow puddles, so typically we end up getting a ton of them at a time. located across the street from the Safeway, this little bakery now takes credit cards via Square & cash. super convenient for me now as I don't have to take cash with me anymore. I took a ton of photos, but I didn't realize until afterwards, they have a sign that said no cell phones :x sorry! their baked goods are always good. cow puddles are these chewy, addicting cookies made with some decadent brown butter. I also bought a honey bun for myself and a sugar cookie for my daughter. she really enjoyed it as it was a cute little purple horse! the chocolate croissants were so good. I wouldn't compare them to an actual French one, but good for what you're getting.

My husband and I stopped for a coffee, tea and baked goods. They were out of hot water for tea. We asked for more hot water and we were told they don’t have time to “make” hot water. Women behind the counter were impolite and short with customers. There was a mother with 4 well behaved young children in line ahead of us and the employees were rude to her. The 2 employees must have both been having a bad day. I worked as an emergency room nurse for 33 years. If I would have treated my patients in that manner, I would have been out of a job. Maybe they were the owners and didn’t care about customer service. Oh, the blueberry muffins were stale….
