The Storyteller

I have stayed at this hotel several times, and i must say that the service with the staff is consistently amazing. I had the pleasure to speak with Salim in the morning during breakfast service and I must say, he is the definition of hospitality. He is very welcoming, friendly and professional. He clearly is passionate about how everything is presented and organized for breakfast. I love the hotel but Salim definitely adds a touch of hospitality and warmth to breakfast service. I would like to see more different options for breakfast. Also, the eggs were cold both mornings. The spinach quiche was delicious and hot, and the fruit was fresh.

Had such a great night at The Storyteller hotel restaurant in Hyde Park with my family. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted, the vibe felt warm, welcoming, and just genuinely inviting. Our server, Luis, was awesome. He had great knowledge and insights about the wine list and helped guide us to a local bottle we probably wouldn’t have picked on our own, and we ended up loving it. The food was fantastic across the board. The tapas-style menu was perfect for sharing, trying a bunch of different things, and just enjoying the meal together instead of being locked into one meal each. The proximity to the Culinary Institute can definitely be seen. The only slightly odd part of the evening was that the manager seemed to be watching the dining room, and especially our table and the waiter

I went to the Storyteller on 3/2/26. The atmosphere was very delightful. Even from the parking lot. I really liked the view from Rt. 9 as well. The placed looks almost majestic. Now the service was top tier. Our server, Luis was A1. No wonder, I found out he's a CIA student! As a person who studied food and restaurant management, Luis is a definite asset to the Storyteller. He is a prime reason for my decision to become a regular there. The food was also very tasty. I'm excited to experience items from their spring menu. This was the first of many outings I will have at the Storyteller. Thanks Luis for a great experience!

The Storyteller Hotel was an amazing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is beautiful, cozy, and full of character—truly a special place to stay. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, which made the stay even better. A special shoutout to Salim, who was incredibly welcoming and kind. He made us feel at home right away and was always helpful, friendly, and professional. His warm attitude really stood out and made the experience memorable. Highly recommend this place—definitely deserving of five stars. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great experience at Storyteller. The cocktail menu is creative, balanced, and well thought out especially the Valentine’s Day menu. I had the premium Old Fashioned, and my wife ordered the cherry espresso martini, which was absolutely out of this world. Even on a packed, high energy Valentine’s Day night, Hugo behind the bar really stood out. We watched him handle the rush with confidence and precision while still giving every guest maximum effort, which was truly appreciated. Warm atmosphere, smooth service, and a memorable night overall.
