The Skillet Restaurant and Catering

Considering I’m Polish, I have always went to the Skillet for my takeout needs when it comes to family holidays/tailgates primarily for sausage. Everyone in my family loves the bite-size sausages that they make. Yes I’m sure it’s a heck of a lot more money to have the Skillet make it versus me making it, but I do not eat sausage — so how in the heck would I know if it’s good or bad if I’m making it? I would not. 🤣 The pickup line moves fast. Don’t let the line scare you for pick up. Just make sure you order ahead of time.

FIRST AND LAST VISIT. I had called on Thursday and ordered the 20 piece chicken meal the coupon specified for pickup on Saturday. I paid ahead. When I.arrived Saturday, the woman did not know anything about my order. She had to investigate it's legitimacy. Thankfully, a woman in the back verified it. So, here I am with guests coming to my house soon, and my pickup is not ready. I have to wait while it is being assembled. The lady is running around trying to handle drive through orders, a couple who came for some in , and me. She turns my order over to a young girl. The order is filled and the woman insists on carrying it out to my car. -I walk with a cane.- She loads it in my backseat and I make my 6.5 mile drive home. When I am putting the food in a warmer I can't find the noodles. I go

KIND BUSINESS ALERT Amber is fantastic. Although she didn't wait on me, Rachel was also very nice. This is a Polish buffet where you order off a menu and are charged accordingly. There are many size options to choose from. There are also many entrees to choose from. Strawberry pie was really good. Great for dining alone or in a group. The atmosphere is kind of plain. Nothing Polish I the ambiance. Some food items were great, some good, some average. It's the pie that was the best. They do a large carry-out business as well. This is a real find.

Just because you call it, a Polish dinner does not make it authentic polish cuisine. I'm 3rd generation polish american and I can say with absolute certainty that this is not polish food. No kielbasa no gołąbki, no Kolaczki No sauerkraut and sausage. No goulash. Are you guys even trying? Here's a little history lesson for you broasted chicken originates from Wisconsin where the broaster comes from in the 1950s American not polish. My customer experience was dismal. I pull into the parking lot and a grouchy old lady comes out to my car asking me what I want. telling me I can't dine in. Ok I'll never come back.

The Skillet catered our wedding. We worked closely with Deb and Scott - they were an absolute delight. Very professional, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about the delicious food. They were on time, made getting our linens very easy, and cleaned up all the food. I hope we have an opportunity to work with them again in the future!!
