The Shack Inn

This was the stay of a lifetime. The Shack Inn is the few guest rooms upstairs above the Homer Tackle Shop. Shawn and Ginny are amazing hosts, and they’ve done an incredible job making their property feel like a home away from home. The rooms are clean and so comfortable. I can’t recommend staying here enough.

It was our weekend getaway, and it didn’t disappoint at all. The place was easy to find. The owners provided not only everything we would need, I.e. instructions, clean, warm and cozy room, but the views were absolutely spectacular!!! We saw otters, eagles, seals, and water boarders right outside of the window!!! ||The weather was also our friend. We saw full Harvest Moon, Aurora Borealis, sky full of stars, and even ATLAS comet. This could never be better!||The owners always responded to our questions within minutes, yet didn’t bother us otherwise. ||I loved everything about this place, and I highly recommend you to visit it. We will most definitely be back there. Easy 5 stars!!!!

I can’t put into words how beautiful this place was. We stayed there last week and fell in love with the room, the views, the Homer Spot, the town of Homer and surrounding areas. The host were amazing and kind and very informative with places to eat and things to do. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all the way. Will be back in the spring 😊

What a spectacular experience, first of all the view. It feels as if one could see the edge of the world just by opening the curtains in the well decorated main living space. Conveniently covered writhing walking distance of the best Homer has to offer, the Shack Inn is NOT a place you want to miss out on. And I haven’t even gotten to mention the gracious hosts yet! Please give this place a visit if you’re ever in town, you won’t regret it!
