Halcyon Heights B&B/Inn

Beautiful location high on the hill overlooking Homer. Very comfortable rooms with a great shower. The hosts, Steven and Juxia, were friendly and helpful and enjoyed sharing their knowledge of Homer. Juxia makes great breakfasts.

My special needs son and I stayed two nights at Halcyon Heights at the end of our epic Alaskan adventure for his 18th birthday. We had been staying at a different local hotel that was clean, but not quiet at all. Neither of us had gotten much sleep in a week and were worn out from all of the adventuring we were having. Arriving at Halcyon Heights was like finding home away from home. It was so peaceful and just lovely. The view of Kachemak Bay was beautiful; I absolutely loved my quiet mornings on the veranda with a hot cup of coffee and my book, snuggled up in a blanket, enjoying rest, relaxation, and the view. Amazing hosts, Juxia goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Her strawberry rhubarb pie is amazing! We arrived early and were going to just stop in and do the check in process but they welcomed us in early! We were fishing early and she packed us a sack breakfast! It was waiting in the guest fridge with a note wishing us good luck♡ Stephen and Juxia are both a wealth of knowledge. 10/10 recommend

What a wonderful experience. Before I booked the room I called and Juxia was so helpful on hints of what to see and do. On the day of arrival, because of flight delays, I wasn't going to arrived until about 10:30 at night. I texted Juxia and she kept in touch with me and suggested I even stop at the local Safeway before I check in for any snacks I might want the the next day. Knowing I wouldn't arrive until about 11 pm and knowing I had some early plans the next morning she made me a sandwich and fruit for the day. Day before I left even invited me to dinner and again knowing I was leaving early gave me fruit and breakfast cake for my drive back to Anchorage. My family stayed 2 nights at Halcyon Height B&B in June 2016. Halcyon Height B&B got a beautiful view overlooking Homer Spit. On a sunny day, you can see snow mountains, glaciers, boats and planes. It's said moose and bears may visit the yard, but we didn't see one. The house is decorated with every detail and is as cozy as home. We stayed in the Captain's Room. It's very spacious and well equipped with everything we need and has its own entry. The owner couple are very hospitable and friendly. They introduced all things we need to know around the B&B and Homer. They helped to booked our fishing and sea kayaking tour which turned out to be some of the best experiences we had in Alaska. Because we had to leave for the tour every morning, we were not able to join the breakfast in the dini
