First time and last time I come to this place. I ordered the sterling silver pepper steak, I like my steaks medium rare and let the waitress know this. She recommended to have the steak cooked medium as it’s a thicker piece of steak, the food comes out and i cut into my steak and it’s so raw it could run out of the place! I asked if they can cook it longer to which they took the food back to the kitchen and she then recommended it to be cooked medium well. When it was brought back the edges were cooked more but the middle was still very raw. She then attempted to take it back and when she came back to our table she said the kitchen was closed but open for dessert. I was pretty bummed because the only thing I had eaten was potatoes and broccoli (which were good, but not for the money we pai
Outstanding food and service. Jack was our server and is amazing. I recommend the filet, and don't be afraid of the mango on top. It's delicious. The drinks were great the lil Smokey ole fashion is a real treat. A fantastic restaurant with phenomenal service. Chef Dave is great. You will not be disappointed.
I stumbled across this restaurant while walking by and decided to give it a try. The ambiance is cozy with dim lighting, featuring a bar area in the front and a small dining space. I sat in a charming side room with a few 4-top tables. The staff were very friendly and attentive, regularly checking on our drinks and going over the specials. I ordered the prime rib, which was quite good, though the mashed potatoes were just average. I also found the horseradish could use a bit more kick. The green beans were a bit overcooked, and while the mahi was tasty, it too was slightly overdone. On a positive note, the food came out nice and hot, which can be a challenge at many local restaurants. If you're a prime rib lover, this place is definitely worth a visit!
The dining experience at this establishment is truly exceptional. The quality of the chicken is consistently high, and the preparation is always perfect. A small accident occurred when I unintentionally spilled a condiment. The staff handled the situation with remarkable courtesy and efficiency. Overall, the restaurant provides a great meal, accompanied by top-notch service.
If you like Applebees, you’ll love The Roost. We were seated immediately. The service is good here as the hostess was nice and the server was great and attentive. The Calamari appetizer had good breading but was very very rubbery. Prime rib was perfectly cooked and tasty. The diver’s scallop special was very underwhelming and bland. If you’re in Durango and looking for safe flavors and great drinks, The Roost is your place.
