The Outsider

Great location, fun atmosphere and terrific food but we had to wait over a half hour to get our order at lunchtime on a Monday. Fries and onion rings could have been warmer but they were still great. The burgers were wonderful & we loved the impossible burger option for our vegan daughter. If you don’t mind waiting there is a lot to do while you wait. Huge outdoor patio that’s dog friendly and has a bags game (corn hole) set Up. Pinball machines inside with a bar with great drink options. I tried to add photos but couldn’t so I just posted them separately from the review.

Excellent smash burgers, cooked to perfection. I had the Impossible Burger swap and it was grilled so well-great char! Could not even tell the burgers were plant-based. Mom loved her beef burger, as well. Fries were also super good! Not sure what the Outsider sauce is but it was tasty! Onion rings were delicious-crispy outside, juicy, plump onions inside. Highly recommend for bigger small groups. Easy walk-up ordering, a bar to sit for drinks, and an outside area to take food out.

Today I placed a catering order with The Outsider. It was for a company lunch that included several vegetarians. I was able to put in an order that satisfied the whole group. The burgers (meat and plant-based) were juicy and delicious, the Caesar salad was plentiful and amazing , and the fries were hot and crispy. And we got some out of this world cookies as a complimentary treat. I will be using this service in the future. The online ordering made the process very easy and the owners reached out when they had a question. Great service for Manistee!

This was our first time there, the burgers were awesome, the service was great and we loved the pinball machines were free. We definitely will stop there again when we're in that area.

Stopped by last week and had a super tasty lunch. I had The Outsider Burger, a Caesar salad, and a side of fries. A feast! Burger was cooked perfectly and salad was nice and fresh (great dressing too btw). Fries have a nice coating on them. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and the service was spot on. I'd definitely go back. Pinball, for sure, when I have more time.
