Manistee County Library

The main branch is a Carnegie Library and is beautiful, and well maintained. There are several satellite branches too. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! They have many special programs for children and adults and a well curated collection of resources for patrons!

What a awesome visit! I was in the area and wanted to stop by and introduce myself. These two lovelies are the nicest people! I gave them my new release "Love Notes From The Other Side" & asked them to share with the Director & Staff. This library is absolutely stunning in the inside! Thank you for the friendly greeting! Staff is always kind and helpful. Kids' section is fantastic. Special outdoor activities for the kids are wonderful. Old building is really neat, as are all the live plants. Parking is easy. Computer area is nice. Please support public libraries, they're a real gift to the community.

Surprisingly decent selection of DVDs. I was impressed. However, they don't carry many books written by contemporary authors. They lack the necessary space to do so. That being said, it's worth mentioning that the staff is incredibly knowledgable and certainly helpful. It's not the best library, but it's good enough for Manistee.

I love this place! It's well over a hundred years old and was a Carnige funded library. It's a great place to get knowledge of what ever your heart desires in a most elegant atmosphere. Enjoy, books , games , DVDs, music, 2 full computer resource centers and many other forms of multimedia entertainment. I find myself lost in the magic of my hometown library! And the best part is it's all FREE! NO more fines if ur late....within reason that is! I would give it 6 stars if I could! Shawn A. Solis
