The Original Pancake House

Came here to celebrate a birthday. Group of 8 so we were sure to make a reservation ahead of time (highly encourage as there was a line almost out the door for folks, estimated wait time of 40 mins on a Saturday morning). The service was great, they did a remarkable job getting everyone everything accurately. Despite being packed, we got our food relatively quickly. The food was good, lots of options. While not the best thing I have ever had, it’s definitely something worth trying again. Prices are also definitely high but depending on what you get, portions reflect that. Parking can be challenging during peak times but many folks parked on a street or adjacent lots by hotels. Again, food was good and lots of different things I hope to try again.

Gigi our waitress was great! She was attentive and friendly. We got several egg breakfast combos that came with pancakes. Hash browns were good but you need to season them and I the ham steaks were tasty as well. I asked for a modification on my pancakes and they added chocolate chips which I appreciated. Place was clean and spacious. They also have a patio area which is small but has some shade. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve ordered here each time I’ve come and will continue to come back.

We've come here a few times over the years and usually we have to wait to be seated, but this time we went early and had no issues. The restaurant was fairly wide open, but they seated us back by the kitchen for some reason, so it was a bit noisy. My silverware was dirty, and they replaced it right away. Overall, the food is just ok. Most of what we ordered, we could make just as good or better at home. The meal for two was over 45 dollars, which seems steep. There are better breakfast places in the area, such as Jensen's Cafe.

Kaylee was our server and did a wonderful job balancing us with her other many customers. Food was great as usual, was a calm enough environment we could still engage in conversation. Always a great visit, clearly most people know this. I would highly recommend making a reservation, don’t expect to walk in and get a table in 10 minutes, very popular place for a reason!!!

What a nice Pancake House! A lovely atmosphere. Greeted by the nice gentlemen right away. Serve was very attentive. I really liked how the tables were spaced nicely apart and not crammed in like some other restaurants. Plenty of room to move about. Food was very good! Lemon Ricotta pancakes were light and fluffy with fresh raspberries. We also got the Northwoods Hashbrowns. So good! Thank you!
