What a charming little café in the heart of Gate City! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the irresistible aroma of freshly baked goods and rich chocolate. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and beautifully decorated. They had a section for kids to play with ice cream and bakery themed toys . There are also smaller and larger tables- perfect for a cozy coffee break or even a mini tea party. I couldn’t resist trying a selection of their baked goods, and I have to say, they were some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The bagel was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and while I was skeptical about their creamy soda combinations at first, their toasted marshmallow-inspired root beer completely won me over. On opening day we tried the waffles, cookies, cupcakes, scones, and chocolate croissants. Each was absolutely delicious and nothing disappointed! We also had our baby shower here prior to their opening and it was everything I had ever dreamed of. This is an absolute gem for Gate City and I wish something like this would have been around when I was growing up. However, my kids get to experience it and my Son is already asking to have breakfast there this weekend! ❤️

We were there day one about 11am! What a great experience. Totally unique decor, charming and delightful. The attention to detail at every level was awesome. I had a lavender lemonade which was beautiful and delicious. The New York bagels were awesome! I brought home a lemon iced cookie, a brownie, and a n everything bagel for my husband. Everything was wonderful. We drive 25 miles for the Grand Opening and will return on the regular! ~ Big Stone Gap Girl

Such great customer service; the desserts are absolutely stunning and the decor is out of this world amazing. The owner and her daughters are so incredibly nice. Seriously, the nicest people I have met in a long time. This place looks like something out of a magazine. She is so talented!

The only redeeming thing about this place is the environment. Cute space, nice vibe… and that’s where the positives end. The pastries and desserts are genuinely bad. The cinnamon roll tasted like stale bread that had a vague memory of cinnamon, and I later saw another review saying the exact same thing so clearly this isn’t a one-off. The lemonade tastes like it came straight out of a jug you’d find at a middle school fundraiser. Nothing fresh, nothing special. Overall, it tastes like they’re letting 12-year-olds bake Pinterest recipes and calling it a bakery. If you’re coming for aesthetics, great. If you’re coming for good food… don’t.
