Franco's Bistro

What a great find in Gate City, VA! Franco’s Bistro is in the Wynne Bldg - A classic Downtown/ Main Street building full of character and charm. The pizza in the bistro was delicious! There is so much to explore in the antique booths- from rare finds to local crafts and artwork. There is a great big event space (with live music on Saturdays!) and a fun Mezzanine Bar with signature cocktails! Who knew you could find all this in Downtown Gate City, VA?!? We will be back for more exploring!

The chicken parmigiana and baked ziti was delicious. We loved the sauce! I didn’t get a picture of the steak sandwich but it was also very good. Entrees come with a salad and bread . So nice to see what they’ve done with the building. The Mezzanine bar was beautifully designed. Glad to see an added dining option in Gate City. It’s a short drive from Kingsport and we enjoyed the pretty downtown area. We’ll be back soon!

I had the privilege of eating at Franco’s Bistro and I can’t say enough good things! First, the atmosphere is very unique and it’s unlike anything else we have in this area. The food is amazing and the prices are unbeatable. Why would anyone go to Olive Garden when you can get real, authentic Italian that’s made fresh AND support a local business?! The owner was very personable and even came to our table to check in and tell us how much he appreciated our business. 10/10 recommend!! Don’t forget to check out the rest of the building when you come in, there’s something for everyone! 😊

My elderly relatives received a gift certificate to this establishment and decided to give them a try. I placed an order togo, and the bill exceeded my gift certificate by a buck and change, but the manager (?) kept the change. That was my First RED FLAG! I got 2 subs and some potato salad, and that was the worst food I've ever received from any other eateries in GC and surrounding areas. I know they're still new, but come on guys, get it together, and STOP KEEPING THE CHANGE!!! I tip when I feel the service earned a tip, but don'tkeep your patron's money. I'll save my money for Hob Nob, Campus, or El Ranchero, but I'll never go back to Frank's Bistro. Yuck!!! What restaurant can't make 2 philly subs with cheese, but no cheese and the meat tasted odd?? I absolutely do not recommend.

Great food, fantastic interaction with the staff and owner. Very comfortable and laid back experience, hard to beat such hearty meals. Definitely try the pulled roast beef sandwich if you stop in.
