The Milk Bar

First time there. Food was fantastic. Got vegetable beef soup and grilled cheese sandwich was delicious. The soup was great. Tried a few spoons of their homemade greens and they were super good. Got a piece of German chocolate cake homemade, was delicious. Great place, very friendly and staff is great. Would recommend any one to go try it out. I'll definitely go back over and over.

Found the little gem, when we were passing through. Knew as soon as we walked in the door that this would be a great experience. They did not disappoint. The food and service was awesome.

Been in Walnut Cove for a year and just discovered the awesome food options here! Not a creamery, dessert bar, or coffee shop. Exceptional food choices with daily specials. Everything was homemade flavor. I will be back with more people 😉

One of the best burgers to get around imo. They’re handmade and always taste fresh. The corn nuggets are also a favorite of mine. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Instead of going to some chain restaurant in Winston, drive the extra distance, go to this gem and support local business!

Folks let me tell ya. If you're within 50 miles of this place it is worth the trip to come and enjoy this family owned , local iconic eatery. We first heard about this place from the YouTube channel, John Ward Appalachian channel. So of course being from the state of NC we chose to make the trip. Now mind you, I now reside in Pennsylvania, 372 miles from the Milk Bar. We set out to spend a few days visiting the area and shopping the local shops and definitely trying the food that the Milk Bar had to offer. Five stars folks! What a pleasure it was to meet the owners and the wait staff were incredible. Sitting at the bar to not disturb the seating enjoyed by the locals, we had a superb lunch of fried chicken livers with green beans and mashed potatoes and gravy. I ordered the catfish nugge
