This place is one of the most unique peaceful places in North America. The cottage is beautiful with amazing amenities. The animals on the property are. Adorable and a quiet evening under a blanket of stars is like nothing else. Fresh eggs from hosts chickens and milk from neighbors farms is an amazing start to a beautiful day. Nestled in prime hiking territory full of beautiful views is an experience that can't compare to the hustle of any city venue. Be prepared to have your mind blown and the experience of a lifetime!

I’ve never felt so much positive energy bringing an overwhelming feeling of protection and peace. The Mermaid Cottage 🧜🏼‍♀️ was nothing less than magical. This small, clean, artistically crafted gem, offered serenity and breathtaking landscapes. For hours we watched the most vivid view of the Milky Way ✨ and, the brightest shooting stars that I’ve ever seen. We were woken up by two super friendly ponies. This experience was nothing short of perfect 💜 and, everyone should know this feeling. The cottage is located on the Summer Coon Volcano, an eroded stratovolcano in the San Jan volcanic field (Del Norte, CO). When I learned this it was clear to me why I felt so balanced there. This little bit of history only added to the experience for the better.

My husband & I stayed in a very cute Air Stream at the Mermaid Cottage during our recent Great Divide Mountain Bike Route ride. It was amazing! Such a cute place and KimAnna was the BEST host. We would highly recommend stopping here... especially if you're on the GDMBR as it's right on route and so relaxing.
