I was in Fairfax with those pesky Hansen twins, and you know Sally is a vegetarian..and we came for the annual all you can eat beef bbq and chili cook off at Shindler's Park, and Man-O-Man was it something! There must have been over 300 people in attendance, and the food was Spectacular! I thought for sure the Applehorn Grill would ace the best of show with their Smoked Prime Rib, but when the Flag Molly Smokehouse took the award for their Bourbon Barrel Smoked Short Ribs it was as if it was predetermined by the bbq gods themselves. But..when the rookie, Little Tim from The Tiki Iron Grill took the 1st place for the Chili Cook off everyone was flabbergasted because he used kangaroo meat! We have passed the lodge many times and always thought we should drop in sometime. Well today was the day. So glad we did. Next time we won’t pass by. We will definitely come for a bite and a pint. 5/5 Fun local atmosphere with outdoor seating too. 5/5 Creative amd inviting menu. 5/5. We enjoyed a tasty and healthy seasonal salad and a sausage sandwich and a beer.YUM! Next time we will try the jalapeño poppers. They look off the hook!

Great spot for Happy Hour... The keep was very knowledgeable of the area and recommended many sites to see. Say hey to the waitress with the coolest British accent I've heard in awhile if you get a chance. The chef produced some nice food and I'll definitely return.

This place was a really nice spot to visit, I'd come again. The staff was very friendly. While I was waiting for my friend for about an hr just drinking water they checked on me a reasonable amount of times. Their food is delicious and they have a good amount of drink choices.

One of the hidden gems of Marin! Awesome, friendly owners, bartenders and wait staff; cool vibe atmosphere with an expansive outdoor space offering occasional live music; great beer selection and beautifully crafted cocktails; and a DELICIOUS menu selection that’s updated frequently to incorporate local, seasonal ingredients. It’s a perfect lunch spot, in addition to a fun meeting spot for happy hour or dinner. Parking available in the back too. Don’t miss out!
