The Kitzhof Inn

Late 20s couple- we were looking for a couple days’ stay to ski mount snow and came across this b&b. This place was like a home away from home- between the friendly, welcoming staff, the other guests, the ambiance, we found ourselves having a refreshing and relaxing weekend away. The rooms are so cozy, common areas are beautiful and offer an elevated lodge feel while also feeling at home. There’s plenty of space for everyone to hang out on their own couch after a long day skiing, where you can choose a board game to play or watch sports on their massive TV near the fireplace. The inn has lots of natural light and a sun room that’s perfect for reading and watching the snow. Boot warmers, mitten warmers, BYOB and a bar for guests to use. 4 of us on motorcycles were traveling through the Berkshires on August 30/31. We had jotted down several places to stay in different towns in Vermont, depending on where we ended up. The Kitzhof Inn was on our list, and we headed over and were met by the owners, Andrew and Erin. They had rooms available, and we checked in and were provided a quick tour of the property. This small inn has approximately 20 rooms and common areas on two floors. We were looking for a place to sleep that provided some outdoor space for cigars, libations, and storytelling. This place did not disappoint. Andrew and Erin are so accommodating, and they make you feel like you have known them for years. The rooms are small but comfortable. Just what you need between days of riding. The place is on Rt 100

Cozy bed & breakfast with old-school ski aesthetic, a 1/2mi from Mount snow. Our room was small but had all we needed and was affordable even in the high season. Heat, bed, hot water were all great, plus there’s a communal “den” sort of space with couches and fireplace and arcade games, plus the upstairs seating area with tables where breakfast happens. All decorated in the most delightful throwback ski chalet style. It’s no frills (bathroom only provided shampoo, hair dryer, and shower gel, for example) so if in doubt pack it. But it’s a great vibe and location at a great price so I’d happily stay here again any time.

Stayed here for three nights in Feb 2026 with my brother for a ski weekend. Highlights: Super close (.5 mile) to Mount Snow. Delicious home cooked breakfast included in rate. They had “happy hour” on Saturday with soup, cider and homemade cookies. Great friendly owners. Cute dining area and common area with fireplace, couches, games, etc. Room was small but was all that we needed. Cleaned every day, towels changed every two. Ski/boot room for all your stuff. Main towel was kinda small, would appreciate a larger shower towel. Only downside is no hottub, which we always love after skiing. It’s obvious that many guests are regulars and we can see why. If we come back to Mount Snow, we would definitely stay here again!

This is our go to place when skiing mount snow. 1. Its 5 mins from the mountain, and even has a shuttle 2.breakfasts are great 3. Staff/owners are friendly. Andrew is always will to help, give recommendations, build fires! 4. Decorations really give you the small town lodge feel, especially around christmas 5. Amazing gear storage room with benches and storage for all your wet gear to dry! 6. Wonderful common area with a fireplace, games, and Hd tv 7. More than fair pricing. If you havent tried it, dont think twice. Book. Only advice is to call if you have questions. Booking shows you the type of room, but they have some different options in that type that you can see in the pictures but not directly book.
