The Inn at the Lake

I had the most amazing stay! Robert and his team made me feel so completely welcome. From the community breakfast, to the incredible outdoor seating areas, I could not have planned a more relaxing vacation. The inn is beautifully situated so there are stunning views; I often just sat and stared. The lobby is wonderfully equipped with books and games, and the owners gave recommendations for activities in the area. I didn’t want to leave. Stay here!! You will not be disappointed.

Not sure if there is much more I can say about this place that hasn't already been said but we were taken back by this place. Super cute and right near the lake with fantastic views. The place itself was very accommodating but the hosts David and Rosie were arguably the nicest people I have ever met in my life! An instant bond and friendship ensued! They cook an awesome breakfast each morning at no additional cost and would simply give you the shirt off of their back if that's what you needed. The cost to stay is also very inexpensive and you have access to County Rd 30 that gets you to some of the most beautiful scenery in the state. I could go on and on about this place and these folks but I think you should just come visit Lake City and spend some time with the Whitelocks yourself

Wonderful people, great food, super cozy rooms, so much beautiful scenery and fun things to do in the Lake City area! The folks that run the Inn at the Lake are so genuine, they really go above and beyond to create an environment of peace, tranquility, and belonging. I can’t say enough good things about this place and the people who work so hard to run the Inn and make it so special. I look forward to coming back again someday!

Wow! What a fun place for a Father's day brunch! This was an unexpected treat while on a 5day getaway at our rustic cabin. Definitely recommend, service was great and the owners were accommodating and very hospitable. Would love to come stay and indulge a bit more at this gem! (The red umbrella makes the food appear different, but was beautifully plated).

I can’t not express how wonderful the place is- the breathtaking view from the lake surrounded by the mountains and the thick foliage of pines. The cozy and clean rooms, each room has its own personality and style. But the most incredible there, were the owners and volunteers. Make you feel so pampered and special. The breakfast was delicious, all hand made and served by this fine people from the oven to your plate. We found out they are also huge supporters from independent paint artist. It was so nice to stay there!
