Customer Reviews
My husband and I stayed at the Inn at Babson Court several times when we would come visit my in-laws, who lived in Gloucester and owned a jewelry business. We always loved staying there and especially loved the room with the loft, where our daughter would play. Highly recommend, the muffin bunny was always a delight! Sadly my in laws passed, so we haven’t been to visit since 2010. Hoping to come stay again soon.
We stayed at the Inn in October 2014 one night...which a lot of B&B's want longer stays so this was a nice option traveling through. The Inn is so cozy and yes there is mirrors and pictures throughout but honestly it is charming. We stayed in the suite which has the loft (sorry dont remember the name of the suite) and there is plenty of room as we did not use the loft. Great view from the room. We walked down to the local brewrey (which if your significant other does not like beer they do not have wine or liquor) and we visted the place next to the brewrey. Walk time 10 minutes one way for great food and drinks. The Inn is in a perfect location and the owners are very helpful. The breakfast basket has amazing muffins. If you want a modern inn and continental breakfast keep looking
Have been coming to the Inn at Babson Court for about 6 years now. Never had a bad experience. Don't expect a full breakfast. Muffin bunny visits each morning. The place has a funky but comfortable and warm feel. A lot of fun facts about the place. Donald is a great proprietor. You will be disappointed, if you are looking for the same old cookie cutter chain hotel room. |
Booked this B&B based on previuos reviews and got just what we expected.|The room indeed was quirky with lots of hidden treasures. I loved the animal print sheets and the childrens loft in our room. It definitely felt like you were in someones home not just an inn. Muffins were delivered each morning for a sweet treat. We had a nice view and easily walked to all shopping, dining and whale watching trips. Like the others said if you ask the owner a question be prepared for an answer in rhyme, song or poem.|Our only dislike was that dirty dishes remained in the room each day after breakfast and by the third day the pile was beginning to get overwhelming... there was no soap/sponge or sink for dishes either so they really should have been removed each day.
My husband and I and my 82 & 86 year old parents just spent two nights at the Inn. Wish we'd been able to stay longer. It was fabulous. The owners, Paul & Donald, are simply delightful. The house itself is just wonderful. My parents had the downstairs suite which is hidden behind a bookcase. Three beds, wonderful sitting room with view of sea across the street. Our room was just gorgeous, upstairs. Location is perfect. Cannot say enough about this place!!
