Sawyer Free Library

Great library in Gloucester, it's quaint and quiet environment is perfect to sit and read a novel or two.. also has a fantastic children's section located on the basement floor. Let their spongy little minds learn!!

Such a wonderful place to bring your little ones. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. They have activities beyond just reading which makes the library a more inviting place for younger children. I can't wait to see the new and improved library in 2025.

I am enormously grateful the public library of Gloucester, Massachusetts purchased both my novels. It's important to support local authors. Now that the warm weather is upon us, I am going to bicycle there and sign them! :) Thank you in advance to those readers who "check out" my book! Both novels make great beach reads! ;)

This is still my favorite library in the country. It may be a little worn out looking, but the art book collection is unrivaled. Every week there are about a dozen new art books and the art books go on and on for aisles. The children's room also has some very friendly people and an amazing collection!

The temporary library is on Main Street in Gloucester near the intersection with Washington Street. They do host some events there. I usually search their collection on line, place holds, and then pick up there. I should have edited this earlier. The Sawyer Free Library is open again at their location on Dale Street- newly renovated, same wonderful staff!
